ABOUT THIS POSITION Right now, we are looking for an outstanding, brilliant, and driven Advanced QA Engineer to join our growing team. The Advanced QA Engineer is responsible for testing the company's products to ensure that company standards and specifications are met. Responsibilities include executing test cases, creating and running automated scripts, creating defect reports, and working with Application Engineering to troubleshoot issues. The Advanced QA Engineer will perform some, or all, of the following types of testing: functional, regression, usability, and load/performance. Also, the QA Engineer works closely with the Manager, Application Engineering to ensure that the product is meeting the Waystar quality standards. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Possesses domain expertise in one or more sections of a   Waystar   engineered product (UI,   b ack-end, X12, security, etc.)     • Takes ownership of project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables   • Able to convert complex manual test cases into automated tests, including tests with no existing pattern to follow   • Automated tests produced demonstrate sophistication of readability/reusability of code, and can employ complex SQL scripting   • Develops, runs ,   and maintains manual tests and test cases within   the   software test suite ; f ollows up with leadership to have test plans reviewed and approved, execute s   tests,   &   records results and defects   • Works with   Application E ngineers to reproduce & resolve problems in the functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of new or enhanced software features built by   Application En gineering   • Ensures   the   quality of   Application E ngineering releases, and that   Application E ngineering efforts match their functional requirements   • Thoroughly understands and follows   Application   Engineering and QA processes and procedures   • Within scope of assignments, establishes and maintains thorough and accurate documentation of work and communicates technical issues to   Application   Engineers, QA leadership,   Lead Application Engineers ,   and   Managers,   Application Engineering   • Analyzes and reproduces problems reported by C lient Success; a cquires   a   complete set of relevant data ,   so   that   the problem can be accurately characterized   • Additional duties as assigned   WHAT YOU'LL NEED • 4 + years’ experience with Microsoft Test Manager ( MTM )   • 4 + years’ experience writing SQL queries   • 1 + year (s) of   experience programming with Microsoft.NET    • High   attention to detail   • Ability to execute recurring tasks with precision   • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities   • Self-motivated   and   driven   • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience   • 4 + years’ experience in a Quality Assurance role   is   preferred   • E xperience with X12 or   H ealthcare   R evenue   C ycle   M anagement   is   preferred   • E xperience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio ( SSMS ) is preferred   ABOUT WAYSTAR Through a smart platform and better experience, Waystar helps providers simplify healthcare payments and yield powerful results throughout the complete revenue cycle.
