In this role, you will work with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to develop, support, and improve the systems that drive production. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer with some hands-on experience in software development, manufacturing systems, or automation who is looking to continue building their technical expertise in a manufacturing environment. While the role interacts closely with production equipment and plant operations, it is primarily a software and systems-focused position rather than a hardware or maintenance role. A Day in the Life • Support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other production-related software platforms. • Develop, test, and implement software solutions used within manufacturing operations. • Troubleshoot system issues and identify root causes to improve uptime and reliability. • Assist with modifications and enhancements to support production changes and new model launches. • Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement automation and control system improvements. • Analyze system performance and identify opportunities for process optimization. • Support the installation and integration of new or modified manufacturing systems. • Manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Who We're Looking For Required • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), PLC programming, and/or software development within a manufacturing environment. • Experience with Microsoft .NET (C#), Visual Basic, and SQL. • Knowledge of object-oriented programming and software development principles. • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to gather requirements and develop technical solutions that meet business needs. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Desired • Experience with GE Cimplicity. • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) platforms. • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell. • Automotive manufacturing experience. • Experience supporting factory automation or industrial control systems. • Exposure to manufacturing automation, process controls, or plant-floor systems. • Experience working with system integrations and continuous improvement initiatives.
