Leidos is seeking a Laboratory Data & Quality Support Technologist to support CDC Division of HIV Prevention (DHP) laboratory data management, laboratory information systems, quality management, and laboratory-surveillance data activities. This role provides technical and operational support for laboratory data management, CLIA-related documentation, Electronic Laboratory Information Management Systems (ELIMS), Quality Management System (QMS) activities, laboratory data workflows, and coordination among laboratory, surveillance, and program stakeholders. The successful candidate will help ensure the accuracy, integrity, quality, and timely availability of laboratory-related data and documentation supporting CDC public health programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Support laboratory data management, laboratory-surveillance integration, and laboratory information management activities.
• Support implementation and maintenance of laboratory quality practices, procedures, and documentation consistent with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) requirements, CDC laboratory standards, and Quality Management System (QMS) principles.
• Support Electronic Laboratory Information Management Systems (ELIMS) and related laboratory information systems, including data validation, documentation, reporting, troubleshooting, and user support activities.
• Support QMS activities, including quality documentation, process monitoring, workflow reviews, corrective action tracking, records management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with collection, validation, reconciliation, quality review, tracking, and reporting of laboratory and surveillance datasets.
• Coordinate with laboratory personnel, epidemiologists, data managers, and program stakeholders to resolve data quality, documentation, operational, and reporting issues.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflow documentation, user guides, records, and operational support materials.
• Support testing, validation, implementation, and sustainment of laboratory information system enhancements, reporting solutions, and modernization initiatives.
• Support onsite laboratory data management, documentation, workflow coordination, and customer support activities, as required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Public Health, Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, Health Sciences, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience supporting laboratory data management, laboratory information systems, quality programs, public health programs, healthcare data systems, or laboratory support activities.
• Familiarity with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) standards and laboratory quality requirements.
• Experience supporting laboratory information systems, laboratory data workflows, quality documentation, or reporting processes.
• Knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) concepts, quality assurance processes, and laboratory documentation practices.
• Experience working with laboratory, surveillance, healthcare, or public health datasets.
• Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting CDC, HHS, APHL, public health laboratories, or other federal public health agencies.
• Experience supporting Electronic Laboratory Information Management Systems (ELIMS), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), or similar laboratory data platforms.
• Experience supporting Quality Management Systems (QMS), laboratory accreditation activities, quality assurance programs, or laboratory quality documentation.
• Experience supporting laboratory-surveillance integration, public health surveillance, epidemiological, molecular surveillance, or infectious disease programs.
• Experience supporting HIV, sexually transmitted infection (STI), viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, or other public health laboratory programs.
• Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, data analytics environments, or laboratory data modernization initiatives.
• Experience supporting regulated, accredited, or compliance-driven environments.
• Master's degree preferred.
Preferred Certifications:
Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS); Medical Technologist (MT); Certified Quality Auditor (CQA); Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ); Laboratory Quality Management Systems (LQMS) training; CLIA-related laboratory training; or equivalent credentials.
Work Location and Travel:
This position is primarily based in the Atlanta metropolitan area to support onsite CDC laboratory data management, documentation, and coordination activities. Limited domestic travel may be required to support technical assistance, training, site visits, or other customer-directed activities.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
