Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Environmental Services Technician Lead, you'll keep our patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized. This protects everyone from potential illness or injury due to infectious diseases or other hazards. Every day, you will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting. You will also use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize our facility. This role requires you to learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials, including bodily fluids or sharp objects. You may also refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and other supplies, as well as deliver clean linens. To be successful in this role, you are thorough and committed to safety. You truly are the most important component contributing to the safety and comfort of our patients, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities • Leads and mentors EVS technicians, providing guidance and training. • Oversees daily cleaning operations, ensuring quality and efficiency. • Manages inventory and ensures proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment. • Implements and enforces safety protocols and infection control standards. • Collaborates with management on scheduling, performance reviews, and process improvements. • Troubleshoots equipment issues and addresses immediate operational needs. Job Requirements Required • High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred • Previous healthcare experience Where You'll Work CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, part of CommonSpirit Heath, a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood, Colorado.
