Work where you matter. A Brief Overview Resident Dining Assistant is responsible for assisting staff with residents in the dining room before and during meal times. What you will do • Assists with setting up and performing pre meal cares in the dining area for meals. • Serves residents as they are seated for meal by passing trays per prescribed diet from kitchen area, pouring beverages as desired and assisting with setup of meal for residents that need minimal assistance. • Follows all infection control procedures as established by the facility. • Reports all accidents/incidents regardless of severity to nurse in charge and complete incident report according to facility policy. • Reports all hazardous conditions and equipment to charge nurse. • Pass water and evening snacks. • Assists in transporting residents to dining area. Essential Qualifications The individual must be able to work the hours specified. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
