description survey technician westwood professional services, inc. is seeking a survey technician to join our team in our raleigh, nc office. this position will assist registered professional surveyors by performing field work as a one-person crew or leading a two-person crew, as well as providing office support for project preparation, processing, and drafting. requirements requirements: ability to work as a one-person crew or lead a two-person crew in the performance of alta surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking. ability to interpret civil and architectural design drawings to assist with construction staking. assisting registered professional surveyors with cad production, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparation, legal description, and computing survey points perform qa/qc checks coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff ensures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service. lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism. required experience: strong listening, writing, and verbal communication skills. 5+ years of field experience with alta surveys, boundary surveys, and topographic surveys. ability to manage multiple tasks, support project coordination, and interact with other design services. ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in a growth mode. preferred experience: an associate degree in surveying, engineering technology, or related area of study cst certification, north carolina lsit certification ability to operate autocad, carlson and trimble business center for production activities. full use of microsoft office. experience with processing field data and drafting for alta surveys, boundary surveys, and topographic surveys. experience with preparing calculations from civil and architectural plans for construction staking. about westwood professional services, inc.
